Vintage Large Raw Brass Etched Art Deco Style Heart Metal Pendant Made in the USA. This is a NOS (new, old stock) vintage large focal pendant made from American brass. Most of these hearts are not bright new looking gold brass but mellowed. The surface of both the front and back has an etched texture and is sturdy.

The heart measures 47mm (1.85 of an inch) from top of loop to bottom tip and 46mm (1.81 of an inch) from widest point on the sides. The center pad/circle is just under 11mm. Most of these hearts have a soft patina (natural aging) which may vary in pattern being darker in some areas. If you want to brighten them up, soak in vinegar, rinse in a baking soda wash then rinse and dry immediately. *please read the note below regarding what to expect with raw brass.

A note about raw brass items: Brass is made up of mostly copper and zinc. Usually about a 65% copper to 35% zinc ratio, give or take. There is NO lead in any of the raw brass metal pieces.  The raw brass piece is intentionally left unsealed and unplated but can be polished and brushed with very fine #0000 steel wool. Over time, raw brass WILL develop a natural patina (aging) which may make the item darker and vintage looking.
